Sugar raises insulin and in turn, lowers testosterone. These guys keep sugar to zero and get a healthy amount of good fats and proteins enabling them to arm wrestle for hours. *Don’t like this post because that only feeds my ego.
This guy was effortlessly cool and seemed to have it all figured out.
An episode of True North will screen tomorrow at @regentparkfilm before Rock Rubber 45s directed by the legendary @koolboblove. It’s free and starts at 8:30.
When I was a kid I had a CD called “B-balls best kept secret” featuring NBA guys rapping. Bobbito had a bunch of interview bites on it between tracks; talking about basketball culture. At a young age, hearing stories about Earl Manigault and old sneakers was paramount in my basketball education. It is a true highlight for me as a basketball fan to have my work show on the same bill.
Hope to catch some folks tomorrow,
While looking for the bus station, I ran into these three guys. They were holding a basketball. I asked them directions to the bus station and then asked if we could play 2’s. It was 34 degrees.
We talked about emigration, Scorpion, the current social climate in Croatia and hoops. Sometimes you get lucky to run into good people like this.
Kiev is a fantastic city and glad I got to visit.
Zhytniy Market was built in the early 80s during the Soviet Era.
You can buy lots of meat there.
Pietro Tramonte at his outdoor bookstore in an alleyway in Palermo.
I purchased William Boyd’s espionage thriller “Waiting for Sunrise” here. I enjoyed the novel.
I am posting this photo because Pietro is a good dude and maybe you will visit him.
Very special evening in my hometown of Vancouver to do a True North community screening.
Although I have mixed emotions about the city, the basketball community has always been a bright spot with good people that love the game and are inclusive. Got to see my first basketball coach Mel Davis which was truly special and other programs I played in like @rblbasketball that gave me a chance to travel and play the game.
Forever grateful for the support for this passion project and everyone who came out. Thank you. - Ryan
Very cool to have a French version out in the world.
Missing contested jumpers since ‘88.
Still looking to find an AAU team who needs a streaky shooter with questionable handles. I have a birth certificate for class of 2023.
