35 Degrees in the sun and still practicing - a pure love for the game.
To see this project come to life has been a dream come true. Basketball has been a refuge for me and I have always felt at home around the culture of the sport, making this project very personal.
I can't thank The National Film Board of Canada enough for answering my cold call three years ago and saying yes to this project and @redbullcanada for supporting and amplifying True North.
I had the chance to work with an amazing crew that saw and believed in the vision and honored that they lent their talents and patience to this docu-series.
To the basketball community of Toronto, all of the families and young men that shared their stories with us, I was incredibly humbled to have the chance to share your inspiring journeys.
I hope everyone has the chance to check out this labor of love, True North. -ryan
