is an award-winning documentary filmmaker exploring the intersections of identity, culture, and the universal search for belonging. He recently directed a coming-of-age documentary set in Bosnia called The Track that was acquired by HBO Europe and Amazon Prime. The film is supported by SFFILM, Canada Council for the Arts, Telefilm Canada and CreativeBC.
The Track debuted at True/False Film Festival 2025, won the Audience Award at the 2025 Sarajevo Film Festival; Best Documentary at VIFF and screened at Hot Docs, SFFILM, Dokufest Kosovo, Docudays UA, DMZ Docs, Hot Springs, Banff Mountain Film Festival, St Louis International, Windsor International and others. Sidhoo was long-listed for the Jean-Marc Vallée DGC Discovery Award for best emerging filmmaker for his work on The Track. The film was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards.
Previously, Sidhoo produced Handle with Care, a feature nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Documentary. The film premiered at Hot Docs 2022, won the Audience Award at VIFF 2021, and screened at Urbanworld and Tallinn Dark Nights festivals. It is now available globally on streaming platforms.
Sidhoo won a Webby Award for his series True North with the National Film Board of Canada and has created content for VICE, Participant Media, NBC-Universal, and others.
